Electric locomotive 185 704, owned by Railpool and leased to CargoNet.
■ Delicate pantographs
■ Used in freight transport between Sweden and Norway
■ In digital mode with switchable high beam and headlight/tail light
Electric locomotive 185 704 was built by Bombardier (now Alstom) in 2012 as part of the TRAXX AC2 series and delivered to the leasing company Railpool. It was then leased on a flexible basis to various railway operators.
The locomotive is currently operated by CargoNet, primarily for freight transport across Scandinavia. This leasing model enables cost-effective, demand-driven deployment of modern locomotives without operators having to purchase them outright.
